Injinji Introduces New Kids’ Collection of Performance Toesocks
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 07, 2010) – Injinji, manufacturer of the Performance Toesock, now offers wee piggies barefoot-like freedom and performance-enhancing protection for sport and play with the introduction of “Little Injinji” – a new collection for children and youth available spring 2011.
Featuring the same patented and podiatrist-recommended five-toe-sleeve technology inherent to Injinji’s adult offerings, the kids’ line will bring both the original Performance Toesock in CoolMax® and the Eco Performance Toesock in CoolMax® EcoMade™ to growing feet.
Giving budding young athletes a proactive “leg up” on foot health, the Toesocks provide proper toe alignment, which can assist in better posture, gripping and balance, and offer early protection from common foot ailments that can become especially problematic in adulthood.
“It’s no secret that kids enjoy the freedom of being barefoot, so we’re excited to offer a Toesock that provides that same seamless and comfortable sensation, but with added protection,” said Jan Kimbrell, vice president of sales and marketing for Injinji. “All feet – big and small – can benefit from the Injinji design, so bringing our technology to a younger audience is a natural extension of our existing line.”
Available in a mini-crew style in sizes S (9-11.5), M (12-2.5) and L (3-6), Little Injinji Toesocks can be purchased at REI.com in December 2010 and at additional specialty retailers starting March 2011.
The original Performance Toesock is offered in white, gray and pink (MSRP: $10), while the Eco Performance Toesock, made with recycled fibers, is offered in a lively pink stripe or purple stripe combination (MSRP: $11).
